A small versatile vehicle of British origin developed by BRITISH MOTOR CORPORATION (BMC). Originally designed for military use, its simple, open structure without doors or a roof, made it lightweight. Subsequently, it was adapted into a civilian vehicle. Equipped with a 998 cc 4-cylinder petrol engine with front-wheel drive (based on the classic MINI), it was especially well-suited for driving along beaches and at resorts. So much so that the MOKE became an iconic vehicle of the 60s-70s lifestyle, opting for simplicity and fun over luxury. It also appeared in the film JAMES BOND 007: LIVE AND LET DIE (1973), in a scene set on the fictional island of SAN MONIQUE.
